vacation. Take a few days out of your stay to go and view a few
homes with a realtor. Once you have given them some basic
information they can search to see what is available within your
criteria and arranged some viewings.
Unlike in the UK and other countries Real estate agents in the USA
can search ALL homes that are for sale regardless of who the
listing agent is. So you do not have to actually contact the listing
agent for the home. In fact we would advise against this as the
selling agent will obviously be very keen to sell their own listing,
they will be on the sellers side. By using your own preferred
realtor they will be more constructive and aware of your actual
requirements. Yes they will also eventually earn their cut of the
commission but they are not trying to sell you a specific home as
they will have hundreds to choose from and it doesn't matter
which one they eventually help a client to buy as they will still get
paid from the seller!
